Emily's Toybox Harrisburg These guys have a big following for their original music, which you can download at MP3.com. It's really funny and really raunchy.
Negative Space Lancaster, PA My favorite local band! I haven't seen them in ages though. Here's a tip: Negative Space will always tell their fans that they are on the verge of getting signed with a big label... but they've been on that verge for like, 10 years.
Mary Prankster NYC Mary only plays solo now. She's currently taking a break from touring to write some new material.
Via Satellite York, PA I have to give 5 stars to these guys because my friend Krisi is in the band. I only saw them play once (all original stuff) and it was a good time even though I didn't catch most of the lyrics.
UUU NJ Go see these guys whenever they come to the Village in Lancaster. They are really fun on stage and have a good version of "Sweet Caroline". Beware, sometimes their clothes will come off and go flying into the crowd!
Green Eggs Harrisburg If you see Green Eggs play on a weekend or holiday, you won't actually be able to see them because they draw such a huge crowd. They are a rock cover band, but they do have a cool original called "My Band Can Beat Up Your Band".
Fuzzy Bunny Slippers Cape May, NJ I definitely recommend this cover band. Go to Fat Daddy's, Seacret's, the Village or wherever you can find them and make sure you tell the keyboard player he's a man-whore.
Screamin Daisys Lancaster This band has two female lead singers and they cover top 40 songs with a lot of female artists.
Rectifier Harrisburg I haven't seen these guys play, but I'll have to check them out.
Condition K Harrisburg, PA I haven't heard them play yet, but a coworker is married to one of the band members, so I hope to see them soon.

The Village Lancaster When there is nowhere else to go in Lancaster, you can always go to the Village. On Fridays they have a DJ which is great if you're in the mood for dancing. On Saturdays they get a band and the crowd is a little more my style. Wednesdays are a BIG party night at the Village because of the dollar drinks until midnight.
Seacret's Ocean City, MD This is by far the coolest bar I've ever been to. It's huge and it has something for everyone. In the nite club, they drop balloons and streamers all night long. Outside, you can sit in the sand. Or you can hang out at one of the many bars throughout the place. They also have a live webcam if you want your scandals to be online.
Fat Daddy's York A great place to go on a Friday night, Fat Daddy's has something for everyone. On the first floor, they have a stage featuring a band every Friday and Saturday night. Outside there is a great deck that is open as long as it's not freezing out. Upstairs there is an interestingly shaped dance floor with a DJ. They even have pool tables downstairs.
Blue Star Lancaster This is one of my favorite bars to go to just to chill. Wednesday night there is free pizza and drink specials. It looks like a seedy little bar at first, but gets a good college crowd.
Murph's Other Bar York This is the kind of place where you walk in then walk right back to your car to make sure you locked the doors. It's not big, but has an interesting layout that includes 3 pool tables. It draws a unique crowd of people I like.
The Waterway York The Waterway has a beautiful location along a river in York, but from the inside, it's not very pretty. But if you go on a night that one of the Beers sisters is there, it's guaranteed fun. There's also a secret place between the first and second floor where there are pool tables and mirrors!
The Chameleon Lancaster The Chameleon is great for concerts, but it's not the kind of place you want to hang out at otherwise unless you're in the Lizard Lounge.
Hardware bar - York York The Hardware bar in york has become THE place to go out, but it's so crowded and narrow that I don't really enjoy being there. The band plays on the ground floor and downstairs is a DJ dance club with cages that the girls can dance in while being ogled and grabbed out by the guys.
Hardware Bar/Eclipse Nightclub Harrisburg The Hardware Bar in Harrisburg gets the best bands and the biggest crowds, but it's way too crowded and I'm not saying that just because I'm now in my late 20s. If a bar is so crowded it takes over an hour to get a drink, then that's REALLY crowded. And the waitresses dress like sluts.
Bahama Mama York This bar is the lamest place I've been to in ages. There are multiple floors and areas, but only one bar. They let in 17 year old kids to dance. The decorations are cheesy at best.
